Francoise Nielly’s paintings are inspired by urban life. She thrives in dynamic and edgy environments, drawing from their energy for her work. Nielly works by deconstructing the subjects of her portraits instinctively, translating her reaction to a face into a series of quick, primal, even violent strokes of the knife. Nielly relishes wild fluorescent colors, working quickly with a palette knife to achieve an unstudied effect. She works in the vibrant but traditional medium of oil, which allows her to achieve brazen tones and fiery contrasts. For her, painting is an “intense experience, desirable and formidable. It’s a combination of conflicting and complementary internal movements; excitement, anxiety, pleasure, vertigo, attraction, doubt and acceleration.”

Felice Varini is a Swiss artist who is known for his geometric anamorphic illusions. Anamorphic Illusions are  images which only make sense from one view and can only be truely appreciated from a certain vantage point. What look like random fragmented shapes of colour form an interesting piece of art when viewed from the set point. Felice ‘s works are usually found on architectual and urban spaces and can give a modern twist to any scene. His works are formed using a projector-stencil technique.

His evocative and haunting imagery has helped to create one of music’s most distinctive brands, and yet he is globally respected as an artist outside the frame of his Radiohead work, and his investigations are widely considered to be searing and important commentaries upon war, sexuality, identity and politics.

Daniel Danger an illustrator from New England artistic work is simply stunning, the mood and character of each print is completely engulfing with calculated use of color or sometimes purposeful lack thereof, it grabs you and places you right into the work, right into the lonely street at twilight where the shadows encroach.

Claire-Anne Obrien is a textile designer specialising in knitting. Originally from Ireland she has recently graduated from the Royal College of Art. Her work plays with technique and scale creating playful and tactile fabrics for interiors. This sculptural approach to textiles brings fabrics to life in three dimensions through form exploration and furniture. 

Inspired by elements of the knitted stitch itself such as rings and loops, the structures are revealed and celebrated through exaggerated scale in bold and textured forms. Lambs wool and Sheeps wool, in a mix of hand and machine knit stitches, are constructed into playful statement pieces.
